About Curtis Walker
I am a creative person, and I enjoy researching new technology. I have a broad background in technology, having been a computer lab instructor, a repair technician and network administrator. I follow Apple, just like anyone else, but I also enjoy exploring emerging trends and technologies such as surveillance cameras, Android phones, autonomous vehicles, Las Vegas folklore/history, Berkshire Hathaway, lifehacking and low cost solutions.I\'ve been a writer and a reviewer for Jalopnik, Professional Photographer Magazine, Gizmodo, Fleshbot, Dvice and Mashable. I began my career covering trade shows and doing party photos, and writing reviews. My goal is to make a living using a camera, and continue using photography as a tool for creativity.My experience working with the Telluride Film Festival as an Operations Specialist for has given me unique, stress honed skills. In addition to various technical research projects and to take initiative to solve problems using the lowest total cost workable solution. I developed skills in project management, communications and showmanship that I draw from daily.I\'m a 3rd generation Las Vegan, my grandparents having moved here to build the Hoover dam in the 30\'s. I enjoy all that the city offers and have a small photo studio in the gradually flourishing Las Vegas Arts District.
