About Curtis Parks
Curtis Parks is a founding member and managing partner of Icon Experiences, an advisory, development, and management services company for the entertainment industry. A family entertainment and attraction veteran, Mr. Parks has served in numerous management and executive capacities for industry leading companies and brands including Palace Entertainment, Grupo CIE, Ogden Entertainment, Schlitterbahn Waterparks and Resorts, Wet ‘n Wild, Raging Waters, Elitch Gardens, Darien Lake, Hawaiian Falls, and NASCAR Speedparks.Curtis is active member of IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions), the World Waterpark Association (WWA), the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), an IAAPA Certified Attractions Executive (ICAE), and has served as a national faculty member of the Ellis & Associates International Aquatic Safety School.

Icon Experiences (ICON) was founded in 2013 to develop and manage destination-based entertainment experiences in select domestic and international markets.ICON operates multiple attractions for The Peterson Companies, one of the largest privately owned development companies in the Washington DC region, including The Capital Wheel & Carousel at National Harbor. Located in Prince George County, Maryland, National Harbor is a 350-acre, mixed-use development that includes the MGM Hotel and Casino, the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, thousands of residential units, tree‐lined promenades with scores of shops and offices, two marinas and dining along a mile and a quarter of the Potomac River.ICON also operates the St Louis Wheel, a 200-foot high observation wheel, and the outdoor attractions at historic Union Station in downtown St Louis. Union Station is a National Historic Landmark, once the busiest and largest train station in the world. Converted in the early 1980\'s Union Station now features a four diamond St. Louis Union Station Hotel, The Grand Hall at Union Station, and the St. Louis Aquarium. The Train Park at Union Station includes a beautiful festival space - home to the Polar Express, Soda Fountain Restaurant, and a fire and light show.
