ABOUT CURTIS C
I am a dedicated security professional with a strong foundation in Electrical and Electronic engineering (HND) and over a decade of experience in protective and operational roles. My career began in 2012 after completing my studies in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at North West Kent College, where I was recognised among the top three scorers in our exams and was offered a rare opportunity to join the Metropolitan Police’s engineering department.Within the Met, I joined the Specialist Search and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit while pursuing a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at London South Bank University. However, my growing passion for policing led me to transition into more frontline roles.Alongside my work, I served as a Special Constable with the British Transport Police at Kings Cross and St Pancras for several years, further broadening my operational expertise. In 2020, I transferred to a Control Room within the civil service, where I was promoted to the role of Duty Controller. Today, I am privileged to lead a highly skilled team and collaborate with exceptional colleagues in safeguarding one of the UK’s most vital institutions. My journey reflects a deep commitment to security and public service, blending technical expertise with practical operational experience.
