Provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed responses and restorative practices and act as a school-community liaison to support the Strategic Plan priorities of Racial Equity and a Supportive Learning Environment.Collaborates with Pupil Support Services staff in providing needed interventions to students dealing with trauma.Works with district leadership staff to ensure that policies and procedures reflect an understanding of the role of trauma in student behaviors.Works with administrative, instructional, and non-instructional staff to reduce retraumatization of students, promote student resilience, and increase positive academic and non-academic outcomes for students by: Assessing staff training needs and providing training on trauma-awareness and evidence-based approaches. Developing and implementing trauma-informed behavioral health assessments and interventions for students. Providing support to faculty and staff who are experiencing or have experienced trauma Assisting with the education and understanding of the use of universal restorative practicesthroughout the school. Providing direct support to teachers to develop in-class systems of support for studentsusing proactive restorative practices
