   My current position is one where I am teaching within the Indianapolis Public School system. In my role, I am placed in a local Catholic School, Cardinal Ritter, where I provide Title 1 math instruction. For those who do not know what that means, it means that within my school, I am responsible for working with students who would have an Title 1 eligible home address and who scored in a lower tier compared to their school peers in math. I love this job because I get to work with small groups of students to help them however they need help in math. If they need help reinforcing a prerequisite skill to what they are working on in their traditional math class, I can focus on the prerequisite skill. If they need to develop their testing skills to score higher on their standardized or class tests, I get to focus on that. If they need help with the current skill they are learning, I can reinforce their traditional teachers lessons.
