ABOUT CURT PHEIFER

I come from a family of bridge builders. Building has been in the family blood for quite some time as there is history of relation that was active in building even in the old land. My grandfather spent some time helping build the bridges on the Alaskan Highway. I enjoy looking through those pictures yet today.My father and uncle started the family business here in the early interstate days, which my brother and nephew are continuing. My son recently started his own residential construction business. I started a bridge division in 2005 for another general contractor and now have decided to work for a WisDOT hired consulting firm to oversee some major WisDOT projects. I\'m looking forward to see what that brings. Many of my hobbies have been put on hold due to perusing \"hobby farming\" which has been taking most of my spare time. But it has really made me appreciate the difference between commercial food, and home raised food. The biggest reward is hearing people tell me that my pork is the best pork they ever tasted. We work with the Tamworth breed, listed as critical, but Prince Charles was so fascinated with the flavor and is raising his own, I had to try it for myself.
