Statement: I joined Linear to work with some ex-colleagues from Overbury and to assist them in growing a start up business in the Manchester region, whilst having support from their parent company/ group of companies in Glasgow, Scotland. A selection of the projects I have worked on to date include the following: • WC and BoH amendments – Wellington Place, Leeds – circa £100k • KPMG refurbishments – Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham – circa £1m each • Retail unit refurbishment and extension – Menai – circa £800k • Generator installation – Middlewood Locks, Manchester – circa £600k • 149 nr. New build apartments – Old Trafford, Manchester – circa £25m My duties include: • Reporting to Regional Directors and Commercial Lead plus interface from Group Directors. • Involvement in a wide variety of negotiated and two stage tender opportunities including value engineering and scope of work adjustments. • Development of initial tenders and two-stage cost plans into agreed contract sum analysis. • Subcontract management including procurement schedule, enquiries and comparisons, pre-start meeting minutes, order placement, variation and valuation agreement, payments and final account agreement. • Monthly financial reporting preparation and meeting reviews plus cashflow projection. • Interim applications and Final Account agreements including cashflows. • Client meetings monitoring progress and projected final costs including outstanding design queries, instructions and variations including provisional sum expenditures. • Site visits both for site meetings and internal reviews. • Contract Documentation reviews, delay notice submissions, notice of completion letters, general contract requirement reviews. • Valuing, justifying and submitting extension of time and suspension claims. • Helping and assisting colleagues with computer software – COINS, Procore, Review documents etc. • Regional overhead management assistance and staff allocation.
