I started as a full time medical assistant at Palmetto ENT on July 6th. During a day in clinic I normally work with 25-30 patients. I am the first interaction a patient has during their clinic setting, and as such play a key role during their care here. I collect vitals and chief complaint, conduct tympanograms and the anesthetizing of the patients. I prepare the room and necessary tools based upon what the patient is presenting to us for, which can be anything from scopes to sutures. I assist in FNAs, CT scans, and in office surgeries such as myringotomy and tubes or excision of lesions.
