About Cui Lin

I\'ve built my career around data. I\'ve developed programs and systems for large-scale data processing, published research on novel algorithms, and designed workflows and frameworks for advanced data analytics. I\'ve deployed AI/ML/DL applications across environments ranging from multi-core machines and grid computing to private and public clouds, working with diverse technologies at various scales.My experience spans both academia and industry, working with security data (Firewall, VPN, DNS), scientific data (DNA Sequences, Animal Experiments, Brain DTI images), e-commerce data (Customer Profiling, Demand Forecasting, Warehousing), and IoT data (Sensors, Storage and Networking).I\'m passionate about working with data because I believe in three fundamental principles- We learn from history: Historical data illuminates the path forward- Data becomes a valuable asset only when we extract meaningful insights from it- We can shape better future by using data smarter.

   Led cross-functional team and countries in delivering ML models for Spunk User Behavior Analytics (On-Premise) and next-gen Splunk UEBA (Cloud), managing end-to-end model lifecycle- Researched and developed LLM-based models for advanced threat detection, event summarization, and automated response, integrating them into core cybersecurity products- Collaborated with PM, Engineering, Sales teams to provide expert customer support, POCs, and new security use cases, leveraging deep domain expertise- Evangelized AI/ML innovations through conference talks, blogs, and patent filings.
