About Tyler Dennis
Tyler is a full stack software engineer with five years of professional experience working on agile software development teams. Prior to becoming an engineer, he spent a decade as a professional music director, producer, and performer-composer, which took them to over fifty countries across six continents (oddly, not a lot of jazz clubs on Antarctica).Software engineering first piqued their curiosity while working as the audio engineer/producer for Lumos Labs’s meditation app, Lumosity Mind. He was actively involved with all aspects of product development and sought opportunities to collaborate with engineering teammates to develop internal tools that dramatically improved their audio production and publication workflow.Once COVID-19 decimated the music industry, Tyler spent the first part of the pandemic completing four Udacity nanodegrees and a slew of personal coding projects, but felt like they were lacking a strong base of fundamentals and decided to go back to school to gain foundational computer science knowledge (and access to internships, let\'s be real). After 2 years of study, he graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Computer Science in December 2023, spending 1.5 of those years simultaneously working full-time as a software engineering intern at Cisco Meraki and Lockstep.Tyler is currently a full stack software engineer at Cisco Meraki working on switch dashboard development!
