ABOUT CHRISTINA TORKELSON

Growing up, I was certain I’d be a book editor. I imagined myself surrounded by stacks of books nobody had read yet with my fine point red ink pen in hand and a steaming black coffee on the desk. Naturally, it was raining outside and I was in my New England brownstone. Perfection. Turns out, I like creating more than critiquing, I need a little milk in my coffee, and Boise, Idaho stole my heart. I do still love a fine point pen though…Today, I create compelling content and write stories for websites, social media platforms, campaigns, events, and initiatives for private business, public agencies, non-profit organizations, and even my side hustle – a fast-growing charcuterie business that keeps me busy (and cheesy) on nights and weekends. I enjoy applying communication and marketing skills to unique and sometimes tricky-to-translate industries, like transportation, government, agriculture, and sustainability.
