ABOUT CAMERON TAYLOR

I am currently in my fourth year as a manufacturing engineering student at the University of British Columbia. I recently completed a placement at the Vancouver Airport Authority as a Planning Co-op student, doing work in various fields including environment and transportation. My previous co-op job at SEAMOR Marine introduced me to skills such as mechanical and electrical assembly, database creation and management through MS Access and SQL, and utilizing LaTeX to better format documents in a uniform way. I am an advocate for world equity, embarking on two trips into the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador, to aid a small village in building new facilities, including a local artisan centre for the women in the community to sell to visitors, as well as a new classroom for the community school. In my free time, I enjoy camping, building Lego, playing ultimate frisbee, going to the beach, and snowboarding in the winter. I am a long-standing member of Scouts Canada, and plan to remain involved for the foreseeable future.
