About Clarissa Smirnov

Originally a dancer, after working in the corporate world for seven years, I finally returned to my real passion for movement, wellness and fitness. As a Pilates instructor, I am passionate about sharing with others the change and benefits I’ve experienced in quality of life and overall physical performance as a result from Pilates. I was introduced to the method in 2003 as an alternative to knee surgery and have made it an integral part of my life ever since. Through my experience and training, I have come to believe that through proper form, alignment and training, the body is capable of achieving anything the mind is set to do. My goal and mission is to provide others with a more satisfying relationship with their bodies and the tools to achieve better physical performance – whether they may be recovering from an injury, striving for fitness or just working toward feeling and looking better. My technique focuses on alignment, proper mechanics, and mind-body awareness for results and a more capable body in and out of the studio.
