ABOUT CATHERINE ODONNELL
I\'m a junior executive in financial services who believes that talent programs should do more than \"check a box.\" What makes me different is simple: 1. I lead teams to build programs that people actually want to attend. Sessions that don\'t feel like hours of passive listening, but instead spark engagement, curiosity, and connection. Real learning doesn\'t happen in a slide deck; it happens in honest conversation, hands-on application, and shared experiences.2. Program content and delivery formats are strategically selected to reinforce business strategy and priorities, as well as result in measurable outcomes. Sessions are rooted in pragmatism. Individuals walk away with tangible tools they can use immediately to do their jobs more effectively. My experience working directly with Data and AI teams at RBC gives me a perspective that’s rare in the talent space. I’ve partnered closely with the very employee segments our programs are built for, which means I understand their challenges, workflows, and what truly drives adoption. I’m fluent in both technology and talent, enabling me to translate complex AI concepts into practical, user-friendly learning. By combining curriculum design expertise with my knowledge of agentic AI tools, I can develop programming that helps employees confidently use emerging tools to accelerate productivity and focus on higher-value work.My background in business, as well as several years of experience working with business partners, means all of my work is grounded in achieving business outcomes. Currently, I enable exceptional experiences for new talent (defined as new employees and new grads) in Technology & Operations at the Royal Bank of Canada. In addition to my full-time role, I am a Board Member on one of the Town of Whitby\'s Executive Committees. Please include a note when connecting on LinkedIn! Thank you.
