About Chris Scott

R&D Design Engineer specializing in simulation-driven product development, nonlinear finite element analysis (implicit and explicit), and structural optimization. My work focuses on translating advanced modeling into production-ready designs, building FEA infrastructure, and leading cross-functional technical initiatives that improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability. I hold an M.S. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Oklahoma State University, where my thesis research focused on scramjet engine diagnostics and high-speed propulsion. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in MAE, concentrating on topology optimization, nonlinear FEA validation, and lightweight structural design with experimental correlation. My professional experience spans regulated aerospace environments, advanced materials, and manufacturing systems.
