Hi, I’m Cory Smith, the founder of Ironfleet.For 23+ years in the U.S. Air Force, I flew missions across deserts, oceans, and frozen frontiers. As the Flight Crew Chief I spent 300 days a year living with aircraft and seeing first hand the weight that maintenance teams carried.Later, as the Maintenance Superintendent at Conoco Philips and a Field Service Rep at Boeing, I saw the same pattern everywhere- Aircraft getting more complex- Regulations tightening- A global shortage of skilled maintainers growing- Parts becoming harder to obtain to fix AOG aircraft- Communication break downs resulting in longer AOG and fix timesEvery day, talented teams struggled under outdated processes, endless paperwork and fragmented workflows.    Jul 2022 — Present · Anchorage, AK, US

   Provided on-site technical support and maintenance for C-17 aircraft- Troubleshot, inspected, and repaired systems to ensure mission readiness- Acted as liaison between Boeing and operators for aircraft performance and service issues- Supported upgrades, modifications and training for flight crews and maintenance teams.
