In my role as Chief Intellectual Property Counsel for Veolia\'s multi-billion dollar Water Tech business unit, I lead an IP team of ten professionals, including attorneys, patent agents, and paralegals. Reporting to the General Counsel, my focus is on subject matter development, identifying growth opportunities, and providing IP resources for career advancement.My responsibilities include developing and implementing IP legal strategy, as well as drafting and negotiating global commercial and intellectual property agreements. These agreements encompass patent and technology licenses, collaborations, research, joint development, material transfers, nondisclosures, supply/tolling, technology, and employment-related matters. I also manage outside counsel and legal spend for all IP matters, including litigation. Furthermore, I develop and conduct intellectual property training workshops for internal business clients at various levels.
