ABOUT CRYSTAL LAM
Hello! I’m a B.S Neuroscience graduate from UC Riverside pursuing a career in medicine and public health. As a first-generation, low-income college graduate, I\'ve mentored underrepresented students of diverse backgrounds with pre-health interests and disabilities to mitigate educational barriers that prevent students like myself from pursuing professional careers as their genuine selves. With my clinical and research experience, I\'m empowered to address mental health disparities and stigmas in underserved communities, advocate for neurodiversity in medicine, and explore the intersectionality of healthcare. Outside of academics, I’m deeply connected to my Vietnamese cultural roots through dance, pageantry, and community service by highlighting the beauty of Vietnamese culture and diaspora through the performing arts, uplifting Vietnamese-American women in their pursuit of education and the healthcare field, and improving the physical and mental health of Vietnamese communities.
