About Crystal Bye

I am an advanced data analytics, emerging tech, finance transformation, and assurance methodology specialist with experience across multiple industries. As part of PwC\'s Digital Assurance & Transparency solution, I lead our Automation Enablement team, focusing on the use of automation, emerging technologies, and advanced analytics to create efficiencies for both operational and compliance challenges. I also work with clients and lead teams in assessing process/system/control/data impacts from complex contracts as well as accounting change, including the new revenue recognition and leasing standards. I also am fluent in a number of data visualization platforms and help design solutions to harness data and provide real value and insights. Prior to this, as part of PwC\'s National Quality Office in the US, I was responsible for designing and developing methodology and content for PwC\'s new suite of data auditing applications on our proprietary software, Halo. My work helped audit teams streamline and automate key audit procedures while providing more value and insight to our clients. I also worked within PwC\'s Assurance Transformation group in London, UK, focusing on re-envisioning our audits with higher quality, improved efficiencies, and better value for our clients. I drove our strategy around data auditing with Halo, including creating industry applications using big data to provide assurance over operational information.
