About Crystal Mjelde

As a product manager and package engineer at REC Silicon, I manage the advanced silicon materials portfolio, including dichlorosilane, monochlorosilane, and disilane. I work with customers to find solutions and build lasting and helpful relationships in the industry. I also design, purchase, and maintain transportable pressure vessels for compressed electronic gases and ensure regulatory compliance with international gas shipments.I have been a voting member of the Compressed Gas Association for 10 years and I participate in the ISO standards committees for transportable pressure vessels design, use, and testing. I have a B.S. in General Engineering with a Mechanical focus and a M.S. in Project Engineering Management from Montana Tech of the University of Montana. I also hold a Montana Professional Engineering License. I have co-authored a journal article on the pyrophoric behavior of silane, which was used to revise the CGA G-13 guidelines on the safe handling of silane. I am passionate about renewable energy, photovoltaics, and process engineering and I enjoy applying my skills and knowledge to contribute to REC Silicon\'s mission and vision.Away from work, I am a mother of three who loves to explore and learn with my family, especially in the great outdoors Montana has to offer. I volunteer with the PTO, the school board, coaching, and girl scouts. I also speak some Spanish and I am always eager to learn new languages and cultures.
