One day, my daughter came up to me holding a book I created when I was in 3rd grade -\"Mom, look! You\'ve always wanted to be a teacher.\" As I went down memory lane, I flipped through the pages until I saw her excitement, my incredible illustration (move over Basquiat) of me standing in front of a class, teaching - the caption, I want to be a teacher. When I wrote that, I imagined standing in front of 10-year-olds, not who I teach now. Present-day, I teach Mental Health First Aid, DEI, and wellness strategies to corporations and communities as a Senior HR Consultant, Strategic Partner, and National Trainer. It excites me! People Ops, mental health, DEI, strategic planning, and organizational impact are my expertise. I quickly identify organizational gaps and use a combination of analytical skills and EQ to solve them. The projects I thrive in involve strategic planning for people and culture to enhance the employee experience, employer branding, and social impact. Here\'s how I\'ve done it over the last couple of years: A thought-leader for more than 20 non-profits and corporations in wellness strategies resulting in an average increase of EAP utilization by 15% Trained people in Mental Health First Aid for the workplace or in community. Coached 30 aspiring entrepreneurs in professional development and emotional intelligence. Designed an employee engagement strategy for one of the largest retailers. Treat people well. Outside of work, you can find me trying to keep my plants alive and convincing my daughter I am as cool as these TikTokers.
