Card Factory’s First Sustainability Manager• Led the formation of the revised group sustainability strategy, that reflects our maturity and aligns with new business priorities, considers results from our recent materiality assessment, key learnings and reflections from our executive sponsor. • Balanced environmental and commercial priorities, delivering a cost saving by transitioning to a new biodiversity partnership that maintained impact while enabling budget to be redirected. • Ensure SECR compliance and support the development of the Net Zero pathway by engaging and coordinating leaders and teams across the group in carbon‑accounting data collection. • Contribute to ESG reporting, including TCFD. • Collaborate closely with the property team to build a deep understanding of energy‑efficiency opportunities (as required by ESOS) and support engagement in their implementation. • Established and maintain development of the sustainability risk register including climate, regulation and compliance, assessing likelihood and impact ensuring robust mitigations are in place to minimise negative impacts, improve long-term resilience and support decision making. • Lead a cross-functional steering group of senior leaders to provide strategic direction and governance across activity. • Champion the integration of climate and resource‑efficiency considerations across decision‑making processes, operations, asset management, and international growth. • Delivered engaging presentations in senior leadership meetings, colleague business updates, team huddles, regional manager meetings and retail representative forums with positive response from colleagues.
