About Ashley Cross

With over 7 years of experience in talent acquisition and external relations, I am passionate about connecting people with opportunities that match their skills, interests, and values. As the Assistant Director of the MacDonnell Career and Internship Center at Siena University, I aim to enhance the career development and employability of students and alumni by building and maintaining strategic partnerships with employers, alumni, and community organizations.In my previous role as a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant at Pfizer, I was responsible for recruiting top talent for junior to mid-level scientific positions across the Vaccine R&D group. I applied my expertise in sourcing, interviewing, candidate selection, and offer development, while following global operating procedures and best practices. I also managed ad hoc recruitment projects and created talent pipeline strategies. Some of the skills that I leveraged and developed in this role include software implementation management, vendor management, and diversity and inclusion. My role centers on nurturing and developing meaningful career opportunities for Siena students by collaborating with local, national, and international employers. I facilitate connections and streamline employer engagement through a variety of recruiting programs, both on and off campus.In addition, I launched and currently manage SaintsNetwork, Siena’s networking and knowledge-sharing platform powered by PeopleGrove. Through this platform, I designed and administer a formal student-alumni mentorship program, fostering professional relationships that bridge the gap between education and career.
