About Cristin Bartter

Service runs through my veins. I grew up in a military family; my dad is a retired Air Force veteran of 22 years. After the attacks on September 11, I felt an even stronger calling to serve. In early 2004, I joined the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Correspondent. Following boot camp at Parris Island, Marine Combat Training (MCT), and Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) school, I was stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, where I served as part of the Public Affairs Office. Rising through the ranks, I became the station’s Community Relations Manager, working on building the relationship between the local Japanese and U.S. Military. Not soon after, I was selected to support the Commanding Officer and become a Crew Chief, which included flying into a combat zone in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. My deployments include parts of Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, and around the world. Following the Marine Corps, I attended and graduated from Belmont University with a bachelor\'s in corporate communications and a minor in biology. I have years of experience assisting high-level executives and was honored to join the Gary Sinise Foundation as a way of serving my brothers and sisters in arms, and their families who sacrifice alongside them. I have extensive experience in marketing, communications, strategic thinking, branding, project management, social media, press, advancing an executive, copy editing, writing, brand development and management, graphic design, leading a creative team, connecting with an audience through digital and physical materials, video editing, tactical to leader level worker, and I excel in a positive, high energy/efficient environment.
