Managers can also perform “Earned Value Analytics” and estimate the cost performance of their projects. The software provides built in templates, scheduling tools, and access across devices increase productivity for project managers.Microsoft Project provides interactive dashboards and reporting functionalities. The project managers can also prepare insightful reports and make decisions about project execution and staffing levels. Scheduling features like Gantt charts and prepopulated pulldown menus help reduce training time and simplify the project planning process.Microsoft Project is running from very long time and have been continuously developed the capabilities with plenty of features.Due to the vast scope of its functionality, Project can be used in most cases. It is a part of office 365 and it can be integrated with Excel with lot of delivery capability. The Automated calculation and easy to use of basic features is a plus point. The charts and reports having all types analysis are very helpful. MS Project could be very handy for a master who is very much experience in this. The implementation requires lot of time & Patience.ConsUser cannot make the most of out it if they are not properly trained by professionals. Learning takes more time compared to other apps. MS Project does not offer the same level of sophistication in modelling and forecasting as other project applications. Microsoft Project is little expensive and the server edition with multi users is for only bigger organizations due to its heavy costing. The implementation requires lot of time & Patience.
