Medical oncologist with nearly two decades of experience in academia, clinical practice, and research. My passion for improving the survival of cancer patients has taken me from hands-on hospital practice to the intricacies of clinical trials, and I am now focused on clinical development, navigating the practicalities of conducting oncology research- Extensive experience as a medical monitor in both the contract research organization (CRO) and pharmaceutical industries- Oncology, internal medicine, palliative care, and emergency medicine practice at academic medical centers and community hospitals- Oversight of a wide range of clinical trials, from those leading to the approval of new agents to Phase 4 studies of marketed drugs- Solid experience in several therapeutic indications, including gastrointestinal, genitourinary, lung, gynecological, breast, head and neck, bone, soft tissue, skin cancers, melanoma, and myeloproliferative disorders- Work experience spans various therapeutic modalities, including immunotherapy, checkpoint inhibitors, vaccines, antibody-drug conjugates, targeted therapies, new anti-inflammatory drugs, conventional chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and genetic tests for the early detection of cancers- Clinical experience at top cancer centers, specializing in gastrointestinal and breast cancers- Planning and execution of multidisciplinary studies involving translational research, pathology, and imaging for solid cancers.
