ABOUT CRISTIAN HAMILTON
I am a senior at UNC Asheville majoring in Environmental science with a minor in Spanish, passionate about sustainability, conservation, and community engagement. My academic journey has been built by hands-on fieldwork and internships, from watershed restoration and wildfire risk surveys with Blue Ridge RC & D to amphibian research with Appalachian State University. I’ve had the opportunity to study abroad in Sevilla, Spain, which strengthened my Spanish language skills and deepened my global perspective on environmental issues. My volunteer work spans disaster relief, food security initiatives, and environmental education for youth. I’m especially interested in pursuing a career in environmental consulting, natural resource management, or sustainability initiatives, where I can combine scientific knowledge, community service, and cross-cultural experience to make an impact
