Assesses performance and recommends salary adjustments for direct reports. • Support Director with initiatives, visions and developing department-level goals; creates individual goals based on skill set, years of experience and desired career path of direct reports. • Identify gaps in processes and address as needed, which includes updating of SOPs, Working Instructions, trainings, etc. • Review and analyze metrics provided by Study Start-up Managers on project and staff performance to report to Study Start-up Leadership. • Mentor junior Line Managers. • Certified Lean Practitioner. • Ensures staff liaise with Clinical Monitoring, Site Contracts, Regulatory Affairs and other interdepartmental team members and sponsors to enable a rapid clinical trial start-up. • Lead and train team with a cross-functional mentality. • Attends project meetings with cross functional department leads and sponsors to coach staff in developing a strategy for study management and communication. • Assists staff with any of the tasks required for their position as well as mentoring and training on the tasks. • Works with SSU Leadership team to implement QC/QA processes that are effective in providing high quality deliverables to our internal and external teams. • Directs the development of study start-up plans as required. Ensures team members incorporate required elements of the Regulatory Plan and Monitoring Plan in accordance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP). Works with SSU Leadership Team to implement processes and then drive compliance. • Manage LATAM team members and train new associates to department. • Voluntary attrition rate of < 10%
