ABOUT CRISPIN VINCENT LOBO

I have great passion and enthusiasm for working on products and systems that leverage the potential of artificial intelligence and machine learning to facilitate meaningful and scalable transformation in society. I am a Principal Data Scientist in the Credit Card Application Fraud Team at Capital One. Here I build machine learning models to detect the fraud risk of credit card applications. Previously I had completed my Master\'s in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Data-Driven Analysis and Computation (ML) at Columbia University. Through various courses and projects, I have developed knowledge and skills in the domains of Machine Learning, Data Science, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Computer Vision.I have worked on many projects and courses in the domain of data analytics, machine learning, and data visualization using Python libraries such as sci-kit learn, seaborn, plotly, XGBoost, LightGBM, Optuna, and NLTK. At Columbia, I undertook courses such as Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Practical Deep Learning, Algorithms for Data Science, Applied Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Advanced Deep Learning. I also worked as a Research Assistant at the Digital Video and Multimedia (DVMM) under Prof. Shih-Fu Chang.
