I founded RiserLaw to advise clients facing tax and trust decisions where the stakes are high and the margin for error is small.My practice focuses on structuring, analysis, and strategy - not volume or commoditized work. I typically work with firm founders, closely held business owners, and contingent-fee plaintiff lawyers navigating complex tax and asset protection planning scenarios, exits, or significant fee events.Much of my work involves coordinating tax, trust, and legal strategy across multiple advisors and jurisdictions, ensuring that planning is both technically sound and practically executable.Prior to launching RiserLaw, I spent years advising on sophisticated tax and financial structures and working closely with professionals across the legal, financial, and fiduciary ecosystem. I also co-authored the best-selling book Asset Protection: Concepts & Strategies for Protecting Your Wealth (McGraw-Hill, 2004) with my friend and former law partner Jay Adkisson.RiserLaw operates as a boutique practice by design.
