I lead the City of Boulder\'s Community Vitality Department. We strive to reach Boulder\'s Sustainability, Equity and Resilience Framework goals through our unique work in parking & access, district vitality, arts & culture and special events to ensure that our key community assets are vibrant, welcoming, inclusive, and safe.• Lead a department of 47+ FTE positions responsible for a $20MM annual operating budget and $30MM 6yr capital program • Establish strategic direction around three organizational pillars: Cultural Vibrancy, District Vitality, and Access for All • Re-organize department leadership structure in support of strategic plans and expanding department responsibilities• Serve as the ex-officio Executive Director of four general improvement districts within the City of Boulder• Oversee the integration of the Office of Arts and Culture and the Office of Special Events into the department portfolio• Represent the city and general improvement district interests in pursuit of strategic organizational objectives• Negotiate property acquisitions and establish public private partnerships in support of key development opportunities• Envision and inspire revitalization efforts in the city’s key commercial districts to ensure long-term economic vibrancy
