ABOUT CLAUDE DUGUAY
Claude is a Professor at the University of Waterloo. He has held previous faculty positions at the University of Ottawa (19••••95), Université Laval (19••••02), and the University of Alaska Fairbanks (20••••06). He was a visiting scientist at the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing in 1993, the International Arctic Research Center, University of Alaska Fairbanks in as a Fulbright Fellow (Canadian Scholar), the European Space Agency – ESRIN in 2012, the Laboratoire d’études en géophysique et océanographie spatiales (LEGOS), Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées – Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS)/Université Toulouse (Paul Sabatier) in 2016, and the University of Coimbra, Portugal (20••••24). Claude is the founder (2008) of the Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate (now known as the Waterloo Climate Institute) and University Research Chair in Cryosphere and Hydrosphere from Space (20••••22) at the University of Waterloo. He is also the founder of H2O Geomatics Inc, a University of Waterloo R&D spin-off, and its Portugal-based subsidiary Hydro-EO.Claude has authored/co-authored over 260 publications and 580 presentations on topics related to the cryosphere, northern hydrology, climate change science, remote sensing, and numerical modelling.
