International expert on wildlife trafficking and trade, natural resource crime, with 30 years’ experience in wildlife conservation, policy, law enforcement support and program management. Leads large-scale conservation projects combating wildlife trafficking, corruption and supporting sustainable livelihoods. Oversawthe Saving Threatened Species project in Viet Nam. Created and launched the Global Coalition to End Wildlife Trafficking online with 50 the world’s largest tech platforms and other partners. Former leader of phase 1 of WWF’s Wildlife Crime Technology project – the recipient of a $5 million Google Global Impact Award Grant to develop and pilot tech innovations in the field. Co-created / oversaw USAID Wildlife TRAPS and the ROUTES Partnership. Helped to pioneer regional wildlife enforcement networks (WEN), including the ASEAN WEN and the Central American WEN. Served on the Federal Advisory Council to the U.S. Task Force on Wildlife Trafficking, 20••••17.Formerly led the international work of TRAFFIC on illegal wildlife trade and was Senior Director of TRAFFIC Americas regional program. Oversaw black market investigations in dozens of countries that directly supported enforcement action, including major seizures and prosecutions internationally.
