   Crates provides consultation to numerous teams across PwC\'s Products and Technology division. He\'s serving as an Operational Excellence lead, authoring and consolidating standards based on firm-wide consensus into an actionable, digestible playbook. Crates is also the lead architect for a suite of tools to assist with common developer needs: rights authorization, feature flags, internationalization, accessibility, content management, analytics and more. He runs the Digital Skunkworks team, whose members float between products to solve nuanced issues and cross-pollinate knowledge. Outside of that, Crates is spearheading PwC Digital\'s consolidated code initiative, leading the charge for operationalizing micro-frontends and modular code, on the steering committee for development practices and toolchain, and on the staff council for general architecture strategy. Basically, he\'s the super busy guy who never turns down the chance to pitch in anywhere and everywhere he can be of service. PwC\'s globally-adopted SaaS products employ modern technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, scalable serverless cloud functions, Kubernetes, Docker, React 18, Angular 13, GraphQL, Cloud SQL, Node JS, Express, SonarQube, Cypress, Nx and Typescript.
