I graduated from USC in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and minors in Spanish and Accounting, and am also USC’s #1 sports fan. Because of my passion for USC Athletics, I started writing, reporting, and podcasting for Annenberg Media. These opportunities have helped me develop a variety of reporting skills. From covering USC football, basketball and volleyball practices, where I interviewed athletes and coaches about the upcoming games each week, to learning how to report about sports on air, I’ve become ever more passionate about sports. I was a co-host of the SCoreboard Podcast that focused on covering USC sports each week. Additionally, I made regular TV appearances as a junior on Sports SCene, Annenberg’s weekly sports show about USC Athletics. I also worked as a producer for The Victory Podcast with Keely Eure, where I managed the audio levels and controlled the video feeds between the hosts, and simultaneously hosted the weekly Trojan Crash Course series that was posted to @thelegionusc on Instagram to promote all USC\'s home games last year as a senior. With all of the knowledge I have gained, I launched my own podcast last summer called Behind The Caution Tape, where I take USC fans on a deep dive through all the latest developments happening in USC sports. In addition, I interned at FOX 11 Los Angeles last summer in the sports department and also worked as a play-by-play announcer for the Ventura County Pirates, a summer baseball club that was a member of the California Collegiate League. Through all of my experiences with USC Athletics and Annenberg Media, as well as through my other past internship and work experiences, I have developed the following skills:· Interviewing players and coaches and highlighting insights from practices and games· Writing articles profiling athletes and previewing games· Analyzing performances and statistics· Presenting analyses on-air to listeners and viewiers· Calling games as a play-by-play announcer· Meeting every deadline· Speaking fluent Spanish· Using social media to highlight teams and players
