About Craig Nelson
Craig Nelson is the Chairman and CEO of Nelson Connects. Craig also serves as an Executive Coach and Strategic Advisor to family businesses. Craig joined Nelson in 2001 as General Counsel and served as Chief Executive Officer prior to becoming Chairman in 2015. In November of 2025, Craig again assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer.Highly involved in the community, Craig is former Chair of the North Bay Leadership Council; he was the Chair of the Executive Leadership Committee of the 2011 North Bay Heart Walk; he was Chair of the Marin County Workforce Investment Board and a former Board Member of the Marin Economic Forum. Craig is the recipient of both the Spirit of Marin and Spirit of Sonoma Awards recognizing his community service.In 2012, Craig was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in the Staffing Industry by Staffing Industry Review. Prior to joining Nelson, Craig spent seven years with the Criminal Division of the California Department of Justice and before that, three years as a litigator with the Law Offices of Bowles and Verna. Craig has a Masters of Law from the University of San Diego, his Juris Doctor from Hastings College of Law, and degrees in Business Administration and Economics from California State University, Chico.
