ABOUT CRAIG KIRCHOFF

If you live in the Washington, DC area, there’s a good chance you’ve seen content I’ve produced.For 10 years, I produced and edited web videos, television commercials and content of all types. What began as a job editing on Avid Media Composer and Adobe After Effects evolved into a position pitching clients, writing, producing and managing small teams. During this time, I developed a particular skill in making complex topics digestible and entertaining.For 5 years I worked independently, recording every Sunday political talk show and editing them all down to the most important 5 minutes for Washington’s political elite - delivered every week before Monday morning. I can’t imagine a better education in messaging.For 3 years, I spent my weekends as a part-time producer in the Operations Department of WTOP news radio. There, I learned to enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, not to mention how to stay sharp on little sleep.For a year and half, I traveled the country managing focus groups and testing speeches, ads and interviews. I learned how to speak to an audience in a way that has meaning to them. Just as importantly, I was taught how to capture, interpret and act on qualitative and quantitative research.My independent work often involves my interest in complexity science or love of music.
