About Craig Flaherty

As a child, instead of building sand castles at the beach, I made sand parking lots, highways, drainage canals, and treatment plants. I played for hours in the mud with running hoses and found small creeks to dam. I spent long hours in my father\'s plumbing shop where the motto was \"It flows downhill\". After excelling in math and science, I chose to pursue civil engineering at Lehigh University because it was one of the strongest programs at the school. I found Redniss & Mead right out of college when I was looking for engineers to shadow for a few days. I\'ve been with the firm ever since, becoming an owner in 2006 and president in 2018. Being a part of the growth and success of a smaller company has kept my interest piqued as the job variety is wide and the scope of my professional responsibilities grew in pace with my passion and aptitude. And when a project completes I still have something physical to point to and think \"I helped make that\", evoking the same giddy feeling as the child playing in the sand at the beach.At this stage in my career I leverage my experience in land use and decades working closely with distinguished planner Rick Redniss to bring a broad vision to my clients, understanding their goals and dreams and delivering them in an exceptional way. Although not certified as a planner, I have had an on the job education that has lead several of my clients to refer to me as their \"Zoning Engineer\".
