ABOUT CRAIG HAINES
On February 2020, I completed the equivalent of 30 years across all divisions of the Raleigh Police Department. I have expertise in middle and executive leadership, site and event security management, tactical operations, field investigation, and relationship management that I’m eager to channel my experience in a Director or Assistant Director-level role in corporate security, project management, state government, or regulatory enforcement. I am a highly motivated leader and independent worker who loves collaborative projects and new challenges. I’m recognized for impartiality, authenticity, leadership, capacity building, change management, and alignment. My strengths include: • LEADERSHIP – I’m ready and willing to make hard decisions in stressful situations, with an ability to lead others to exceed organizational objectives and expectations through mentoring, coaching, approachable collaboration, and a commitment to top standards. •FORECASTING, BUDGETING & PROCUREMENT – I initiated budget forecasting, use-of-life inventory projections, new accounting and billing systems, and updated procurement procedures to routinely keep projects under budget and optimize annual Department expenditures. • BEST PRACTICES – I introduced protocols for internal operations, professional development, and real collaboration as guidelines for success. Among them are succession planning, leadership development, and an Event Task Force to define planning and deployment procedures. • RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT – I’m committed to cultivating active partnerships between departments, businesses, public agencies, and the community. I foster trust and open communication by being proactive, adapting messages to various audiences, and finding consensus.
