Most founders are not undisciplined. They are ungoverned.Discipline requires effort. It negotiates daily. When conditions change, it collapses. Governance is the structural regulation of the nervous system before behaviour is built. When the nervous system is regulated, behaviour does not require effort. It runs.If you have knowledge you are not executing, goals you keep restarting, and a business that still depends on your daily presence to hold together — you do not have a discipline problem. You have a governance problem. The self-improvement industry is built around the first. Almost nothing is built around the second.For two years I walked more than 8.5 million steps. Approximately 3,700 miles — Liverpool to the Great Pyramid of Giza. Covered without structure, without governance, without arrival. The same actions. The same effort. The same intent. Nothing held.On 1 January 2026 that ended. Not another attempt. A decision: this time, the change is permanent. On 3 January, the structure began.
