CEO of Forge Genetics — a company offering strain development services using novel genetic tools. We specialise in non-model bacteria and want to make outsourcing strain development the new standard in biotechnology. Featured on BBC Horizon Series 57 Episode 1 \"Feast to Save the Planet\" Featured on CNBC The Roads to Carbon Neutral Episode 6 \"Carbon Capture\" Joined Deep Branch in 2019 originally as the Head of Strain Development before taking on more wide ranging R&D oversight including fermentation process development, downstream processing, and application development as the VP of R&D. Post-doctorate focussed on high throughput sequencing and bioinformatic analysis of transposon libraries. During this time I wrote a novel python-based analysis pipeline and created a novel sequencing library preparation process. PhD in Synthetic Biology from the University of Nottingham where I studied the genetics of the Wood-Ljungdahl pathway in C. autoethanogenum part funded by Lanzatech. Bsc in biochemistry from Imperial College London.
