I am responsible for delivering \"first of kind\" capability for RSA which includes establishing and oversight of an IT SOx control validation program across the RSA UK & I (i.e. UK, Luxembourg, Ireland and the Middle East). This with a view to supporting RSA\'s compliance obligation with National Instrument 52-109 (Canadian SOx) and driving significant cross-regional improvement to the control framework. Core elements of my day-to-day responsibilities include- Collaboration with the wider UK Financial Control Leadership team to develop and refine the internal IT General Control validation team and operating model to remove reliance on third party sourced expertise- Managing the IT SOx compliance framework as the head of the 1st line control team to ensure that internal IT controls, critical for timely and accurate financial reporting, are robust- Acting as the IT internal controls champion for the wider business, helping create an internal controls compliance culture within the CIO Leadership team, driving the right ‘Tone from the Top’- Liaising closely with internal and external auditors, senior stakeholders, and information technology owners on the results of compliance testing- Evaluating and closely monitoring the remediation of all SOx IT control deficiencies working in close collaboration with control owners and senior leadership to prevent any material exposure and compromisation of our NI 52-109 certification- Producing accurate and concise management information on IT SOx compliance status, remediation of deficiencies and progress toward the year end SOx certification.
