Senior Hydraulic Pipelay Technician @TechnipFMC

I am currently a Senior Hydraulic Pipelay Technician at Technip on-board the Deep Energy Pipelay vessel. I joined the vessel during its construction and commissioning phase where I was responsible for the commissioning and FAT of the whole Hydraulic Pipelay system. This is an exciting but challenging role as I am the sole Hydraulic Technician on-board. This means I am the lead point of contact for any Hydraulic operations which take place on-board on deck or during Pipelay operations.Key Duties:• Participate in client, safety and shift handover meetings on a daily basis,• Taking out Permits to Work, Isolation Confirmation certificates and all other ISSOW documentation,• Compiling Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Rescue Plans,• Breakdown maintenance and fault finding of equipment,• Troubleshoot PLC controlled Hydraulic issues alongside Control Systems Engineer,• Preventative Planned Maintenance of equipment,• Installation and modifications to the Hydraulic system, • Operation of all Pipelay equipment during lay and spooling operations using Scada,• Supervision of Technicians/Contractors.
