ABOUT CRAIG SUTTON
As a kid, I wanted to be an inventor. Turns out, I became one; just not the kind I expected.Product management found me because I can\'t help myself: I see problems and I have to solve them. Not in a corporate-speak \"drive value\" way, but in a genuine, keeps-me-up-at-night way. In the words of Bigweld from Robots:\"See a need, fill a need.\" That\'s not a motto I adopted, it\'s just how I\'m wired. In my day job, I do exactly that: I figure out what matters to customers through data analysis and customer interaction, then we deliver the value as quick as possible. What I love about this work is getting to the core of what customers actually need; not what they say they want, but what truly matters to them. I\'ve always believed that solving real problems drives revenue naturally. When you focus on the need first, ROI follows. Do it the other way around, and you leave value on the table.Over 10+ years, this approach has helped me ship products that made a difference: a streaming platform with an AI recommendation engine (10M+ impressions), micro-service architecture that cut latency by 20%, and compliance initiatives that unlocked major enterprise deals. Right now, I\'m working with engineering teams to introduce AI frameworks and coding agents into our development process, because I genuinely believe AI changes how we build products. But here\'s the thing: I can\'t turn it off. When I wanted a reminder app that worked a certain way and couldn\'t find one, I built it myself. It\'s now live on both the iOS and Android app stores. I\'m currently adding NLP capabilities and have started work on a diet app to solve another itch I couldn\'t scratch.I\'m also pursuing a Computer Science degree with AI specialisation; not because I need the credential, but because I want to understand how these systems actually work so I can build better things.
