Geographic focusCraig has many years of contentious experience in international disputes work across a range of jurisdictions. North Africa and the Middle East are areas of particular specialism: Craig speaks, reads and writes Arabic and is often instructed on matters relating to the region, including cases governed by the laws of Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE. Craig also has extensive experience of disputes in Iran and/or involving Iranian parties, both sanctions-related and otherwise, including Iranian law-governed disputes. He is frequently nominated as arbitrator by regional parties and institutions. Craig also works extensively in Central Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
