About Craig Stevens
In 1996, Congress designated eight counties in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia as a National Historic Area – the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District – which preserves and interprets the region’s significant Civil War battlefields and related historic sites. This area includes the Counties of Augusta, Clarke, Frederick, Highland, Page, Rockingham, Shenandoah and Warren counties and the cities of Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro and Winchester.~ Supporting Great Causes ~In my free time, I ( we) support a number of wonderful organizations in addition to SVBF including Bread for the City, The American Battlefield Trust, Virginia Tech Athletic Fund, the National Park Foundation, Shenandoah National Park Trust, Children’s Defense Fund, Love & Fidelity Network, Institute for Family Studies and many others. I have also served on the Executive Committee of the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund and as a Board member of Bread for the City, Fairfax County Park Foundation and the National Capital Gift Planning Council.I am a CPA and CAP ( Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy ) and have co-written two books on Nonprofit Financial Management.
