Oversee the training programmes development across the ICS footprint to ensure that Making Every Contact Count (MECC) and Connect 5 are embedded across the system.• Be accountable to the ICS MECC strategy group and report to the chair of the group. Be accountable to the Connect 5 steering group and report to the chair of the group. • Work in collaboration with Connect 5 nationally to ensure that the programme delivered regionally is Quality Assured linking in with other areas across the country who are developing and delivering Connect 5 to learn from good practice • Keep updated on national / regional MECC & Connect 5 related developments • Link in with other brief intervention programmes across the region to ensure that there is a clear link to the MECC Training offer – e.g. alcohol & tobacco training • Update and monitor an action plan to guide key programme deliverables including- Communication and resources for the regional MECC & Connect 5 programme - Ensure an effective model of evaluation is in place - Ensure the quality and effectiveness of training resources through regular review and update- Provide support and leadership for MECC research and identify gaps in the evidence base for future MECC & Connect 5 research.
