   Recruited by Bridgestone to centralize and strengthen the global transportation and trade compliance activities. Position scope expanded to include and manage and improve upstream supply chain activities. Built and led an organization with 100 professional teammates with responsibilities in logistics procurement, trade compliance, and logistics execution. Negotiated and managed transportation, brokerage, and 3PL agreements. Direct oversight of $300M logistics and supply-chain activities, with enterprise-wide responsibilities in transportation and regulatory trade compliance activities for imports and exports. • Led projects that identified and implemented standard processes to achieve $25M in identifiable savings/cost avoidance/revenue increases in FY 2017 alone in the following areas: supply-chain processes, Incoterms, Duty Drawback, Foreign Trade Zones, Export order fulfillment, SAP enhancements, cross border network designs & strategy, and improved logistics procurement practices. • Continually managing the COVID Supply Chain crisis by constantly examining the impact of COVID-19-induced disruptions on our supply chain, and work on mitigating the impact. • Created strategy, then transformed the department from an export service function into a team with logistics execution, transportation procurement, Third Party Logistics Providers (3PL’s) & vendor management, air freight, and enterprise-wide regulatory compliance responsibilities. • Accountable for Import Network rationalization which yielded $5M per year savings in transportation and handling costs. • Established a regulatory trade compliance department, consolidated the customhouse broker base, created company-specific import and export compliance manuals, and trained relevant personnel across the organization. • Responsible for enterprise-wide ocean procurement and carrier contract management of over 30K TEU/yr of import and export containers. Owner of global initiative that represents over 300K TEU/yr.
