In 2006, my brother, Eric Pals, and I co-founded Tick Tock Energy, Inc, located in Central Illinois. At the time, the solar PV industry was in its infancy (we are the “OG” Tick Tock spelled with “Cs” and not the app Tik Tok, which came much later). My day-to-day responsibilities include: Leading large commercial sales and project development efforts Providing operational support to the overall team Driving growth and company vision I’m an expert at retrofitting commercial and residential buildings to reduce energy use by successfully applying solar solutions for building applications. As a 30+ year veteran of the solar, small-wind, and energy-efficiency industries, I have a broad background in: Mechanical Engineering Construction Commercial building energy retrofits Energy modeling Financial analysis Facilities management Real estate investing Organic gardening and orcharding I am licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and Green Building Engineer (GBE). Personally, I’ve traveled to all 50 United States and a handful of foreign countries. I grew up in a small, tight-knit, midwestern town and lived my 20’s in Orange County, CA followed by my 30’s in the city of Los Angeles. Annually, I grow over 750 lbs. of fresh home-grown organic produce, fruit, and nuts. I believe an atmosphere rich in CO2 helps plants grow and a diverse energy mix will ultimately lead to lowest environmental impact.    For nearly 20 years, I have brought my core beliefs of self-sufficiency to my role as Co-Founder and Vice President of Tick Tock Energy, offering energy and financial solutions to residential, industrial, commercial, farm/ag, business, and non-profit customers. I am proud to have built an Illinois solar company that consistently prioritizes quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. When we started in 2006, the solar PV industry was just being established. I have developed a strong team that supports our clients by providing comprehensive energy consulting services, utility bill and energy analysis, assistance with 3rd-party electricity procurement, and solutions to manage costs, such as evaluation of tax credits, incentives, and grants.My vision includes offering expertise for effective energy reduction approaches, and building strategic relationships with financial companies to make solar installation affordable. As Vice President, I lead large commercial sales and project development efforts. Ultimately, I drive the growth of Tick Tock Energy.
