As a co-founder of Athena Glasgow Women and Girls Football Academy, I played a pivotal role in its establishment and ongoing operations. In my capacity as Chairperson, I provide strategic leadership and direction, guiding the organisation towards its mission of empowering women and girls through football.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Lead the organisation by setting strategic goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with the academy\'s mission of promoting women\'s and girls\' participation in football.Program Development: Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive programs aimed at nurturing talent, fostering skill development, and promoting inclusivity within the football community. These programs are designed to provide opportunities for women and girls of all ages and skill levels to engage in the sport.Partnership & Resource Management: Collaborate with stakeholders including local communities, educational institutions, and sports organizations to secure funding, partnerships, and resources necessary to sustain and expand the academy\'s initiatives. By forging strong partnerships, we ensure the academy\'s continued success and impact.Advocacy & Awareness: Serve as a passionate advocate for gender equality and inclusivity in sports, leveraging platforms to raise awareness and drive positive change.
